I would change the smell of my breath to be constantly pleasant. Maybe I'll have it be a scent like strawberries or roses.
I often get carried away in rants and non-sequiturs and I am met with blank stares. If I had magic breath, people wouldn't be too quick in staring past me and instead look as if I had said something interesting to say.
When people use their sense of smell their facial expressions exhibit a diverse spectrum. This little notion was first presented to me by FRIENDS. Joey's philosophy of "Smell the fart acting," was his key to looking intense. Bad smells equate to disturbed faces while pleasant smells make pleasant faces.
Let's set up a situation where a pleasant smell is integral and the turn of the conversation. Say three guys are having a talk with two other girls. They discuss the drudgery of work, relationships and food until one of the females perks up with a look of confusion. That confusion slowly melts away into curiousity and intrigue. She then begins her search for the source that has been tickling her olfactory nerves. "What's that smell? Where's it coming from?" Everyone else is just bewildered except for the one guy who has a crush on the girl. He agrees there's a smell but that's another story. She continues to move around until she succeeds or the smell diffuses into the surrondings.
Point is everything stopped for her because of the smell. She was in rapt attention by the inanimate. This goes all the way back in evolution to pheromones and what not. Anyway, if the source of the smell were my mouth there goes the problem of being invisible. I'll feel like I'm being listened to instead of being ignored.
Well, I don't need a fancy breath to get the attention of others, i just need to be a more interesting person. Unfortunately my dream of oral aroma is an impossible quick fix for something that can be solved with a good attitude and interest in the world around me.
